Masks.

I was looking through PostSecret, and came across this secret. I realize that lately, almost everyone is trying to be someone they're not. Almost every school has the 'popular' crowd, but not everyone has the same definition for popular. It could be defined as either the girls who all the boys like, because, well, they may be sluts. Or it could be the girl[s] who everyone likes because they're nice to everyone. At my school, it really isn't either. There's the one main popular group, and they are all extremely nice, but you also get the impression that they take advantage of the fact that boys like them, and you can tell it bothers them because the boys are finally beginning to realize that a couple of these girls are fake. In the past year, one big thing was peace. If you didn't notice, the peace sign is appearing on clothing items, bags, etc. I think one helpful step to gaining peace, is for people to [as said in the PostSecret] take off their masks. They're hiding behind their own insecurities. Maybe they have a gap inbetween their two front teeth, so instead of finding someone who loves you with the gap, they find someone else, and avoid smiling with their teeth. Does it make sense to try to change yourself for someone else? In my opinion, no.
